MGM Grand, Dallas Cowboys stadium vie for Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight venue

Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight date hasn't finalize yet, so as whether this fight will really going to happen. But one thing is for sure for all boxing fan out there, Top Rank's Bob Arum is trying to make his best to finalize the fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather.

Arum is currently in the Philippines to see Manny Pacquiao and discuss the terms of an agreement that the Mayweather camp represented by Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer had agreed to. Surely, by the next couple of days, we will all be cleared if where and when will be the mega fight in the world of boxing be happen. But just like how this big fight is getting attention to all boxing fans and other sports aficionado, the venue of the event is also been the the big question mark for all.

MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and Dallas Cowboys new stadium in Texas are the 2 places that is on the top of the list to become the venue of the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Top Rank also considered New Orleans Superdome.

According to Arum, Dallas Arena seats 100,000 with screens that was just built at a cost of about $1.5 billion and “its like a wonder of the world.” Arum added that the weather would not be a problem because the roof comes over when it suddenly rain. Arum also considers the tax situation, which he said that it would be the same as Las Vegas with no State income tax so that doesn’t present a problem for Manny or for Floyd as New York would, since it has a 14 percent tax.
